Hands-on practice

Step 1: Confirm A1:C4 contains Item, Amount, Rate with Pen | 15 | 0.15, Notebook | 40 | 0.2, and Folder | 12 | 0.1. Select C2:C4 only.

Step 2: Choose Format > Number > Custom number format.

Step 3: In Custom number formats, enter 0.0% and click Apply.

Step 4: Verify C2:C4 now display 15.0%, 20.0%, and 10.0%.

Step 5: Change C2 from 0.15 to 0.125 and verify the displayed value becomes 12.5%. Restore C2 to 0.15 and confirm it displays 15.0% again.
